Wearing the No.29 jets jersey, Leon Washington hopes to play on the field in the Jets' first game next season.
Doctors said his broken right leg is two months ahead of a normal recovery and may he can be off crutches next week. "Everything's looking on the up and up, and I'm just looking forward to when I can start jogging," Washington said. "I've got a long way until the season starts. I'm on pace to be there for the opening game of the season, so I just try not to push myself too much." Washington underwent a fracture of the tibia and fibula at Oakland on Oct.25 then accepted a surgery with six to 12 months to heal.
Everything seems to be good with Washington.

Jim Mora says he is not worried
Jim Mora felt free to say something about how to turn around a 5-11 team after leaving the Seattle Seahawks.
“I was very stunned to say the least and I indicated so,” Mora said on KJR-AM on Monday afternoon in his first extended comments about his firing. “I’ve never seen this happen like this before. I was very stunned. I don’t know that it’s even hit me yet.” Mora was dismissed just after one season last Friday. He just going to work until he was told not to work.
This ex coach said most of the players with seahawks jerseys offered much support.

No one hates hits
Fans with NFL jerseys always expect big hits happened in their supporting teams no matter how serious the NFL concerning about the concussions.
“The whole concussion issue is scary, but it’s not going to change the way a real football fan looks at the game,” Matt Sandbrook of Tampa, Fla., said while watching a late season Colts-Jaguars game at a sports bar. “Injuries are a detriment; concussions are a detriment. It’s good they’re trying to do some things to help the players, but fans still want to see football. Hitting is part of football. There’s no way to escape that. To fans, they hope certain experts can search more advanced equipment and tweaks to the rules protecting players.
We can trust the NFL as the world-class organization trying their best to protecting their players.

Grant of Saints sat out
We won't see No.94 saints jersey at the end of their season. He was put on the injured reserve Tuesday.
This man guarded the left side of the defensive line like a strong anchor, but now he has a triceps injury that will make him to say goodbye to his season. The eight-year NFL veteran had surgery to repair the torn muscle, according to the team. He was 31 years old started at each game this season and offered 53 tackles, 5.5 sacks and a forced fumble. Grant made the room on the roster, so re-signed defensive end Paul Spicer who was a 10-year veteran stepped in. He had played in all four preseason games with the Saints before being waived.
Injuries attacked the Saints' line defense totally and they hoped all 11 starters would be healthy during the playoffs.

Jets got playoff spot
New York Jets hold tightly of their first playoff berth in three seasons with a 37-0 victory Sunday night at the frigid Meadowlands by their active defense and rookie Mark Sanchez's efficient offense.

Our goals are much higher,” said Ryan, heading to the postseason in his first year as a head coach. “We were 4-6 and we had a mission with the team.
