Wide receiver Braylon Edwards with jets jersey signed his tendor and reported for the first day of voluntary offseason workouts Monday.
His tendor worth $6.2 million-which would have required another team to give up first and third round draft picks to New York. Running back Leon Washington(notes) chose to not attend the workout, and is one of New York’s four restricted free agents who haven’t signed their tenders. Washington, a fourth-round pick in 2006, received a second-round tender. Agent Alvin Keels said on Twitter that Washington, a Pro Bowl kick returner in 2008 who’s recovering from a broken right leg suffered last season, will weigh his options while rehabilitating.
Wide receiver Brad Smith (second round) and safety James Ihedigbo(right of first refusal) signed their tenders.

Jets' washington may play in 2010
Wearing the No.29 jets jersey, Leon Washington hopes to play on the field in the Jets' first game next season.
Doctors said his broken right leg is two months ahead of a normal recovery and may he can be off crutches next week. "Everything's looking on the up and up, and I'm just looking forward to when I can start jogging," Washington said. "I've got a long way until the season starts. I'm on pace to be there for the opening game of the season, so I just try not to push myself too much." Washington underwent a fracture of the tibia and fibula at Oakland on Oct.25 then accepted a surgery with six to 12 months to heal.
Everything seems to be good with Washington.

Jets got playoff spot
New York Jets hold tightly of their first playoff berth in three seasons with a 37-0 victory Sunday night at the frigid Meadowlands by their active defense and rookie Mark Sanchez's efficient offense.
“It’s a special feeling,” Sanchez said. “A few weeks ago, people had us counted out.” The Jets set up a rematch against the AFC North champion Bengals. “This wasn’t our goal to make the playoffs. Our goals are much higher,” said Ryan, heading to the postseason in his first year as a head coach. “We were 4-6 and we had a mission with the team. It went from impossible to improbable, back to impossible and then to inevitable.”
Cornerback Darrelle Revis with the jets jersey said they had to give back to the fans.

Jets’Ryan may do some big thing on offense
Rex Ryan is going to show up his jets jersey on the offensive position.
It means Mark Sanchez can learn a lot from his head coach .“I need to be more of the game manager than probably what I even realized before,” Ryan said Monday. “There’s been some people here that have been critical of that, and it’s probably more accurate than I wanted to believe.”Ryan now will play a important role in the offense and try to be a more balanced head coach.“It’s not a threatening deal or whatever,” Ryan said. “It’s just something that my role needs to be this, and I think that’s my responsibility. I oversee the whole football team. I really need to start doing that.”
Sanchez is his first goal .It is not easy if you want to wear a NFL jersery.
